Crowdfunding is the practice of sourcing small contributions from a large number of people to provide funding for a particular project or campaign, usually via the Internet.
TLC Monadnock is a
collaboration of regional economic development organizations working
together to increase access to capital to
both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors throughout the region.
TLC Monadnock’s Mission:
We leverage the power of crowdfunding to cultivate a stronger ecosystem of investors, service providers and local economy champions investing in a local, green and fair economy in the Monadnock Region.

This vision aligns with and supports the goals of the Monadnock Region Future plan which calls for a competitive and prospering regional economy that creates diverse opportunities for current and future residents and workers.
Towns in the Monadnock Region - specifically Keene, Chesterfield, Hinsdale, Swanzey and Winchester - were chosen by The Local Crowd to participate in TLC’s second year of national demonstration sites set up to run their own regional crowdfunding platforms (the internet sites where campaigns reside). The Local Crowd is a Wyoming organization that has received a Small Business Innovation Grant from the United States Department of Agriculture to develop a customized funding platform, pay for the platform licensing fees, and to provide related training to participating communities.
TLC Monadnock crowdfunding platform is hosted by The Southwest Regional Planning Commission, and managed by a team of “Campaign Curators and Advisors” made up of community and business leaders from Monadnock Buy Local, the NH Small Business Development Center, the Greater Keene Chamber of Commerce, the Monadnock Economic Development Corporation, and the Hannah Grimes Center for Entrepreneurship.
